Hello there! I'm from Grand Blanc Michigan in the USA. Some our biggest monuments and tourist attraction in the US are the Statue of Liberty, Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, and Disney Land/World.
I live in a small city called Grand Blanc, that is very nice to live in. Hardly any crime, and it's safe to walk around freely without worry. If a friend were to come and stay with me I would take them to nearby Detroit to see the museums, learn about how the auto industry started there, and maybe take them to a Detroit Tigers baseball game! A lot of people go to theme parks in the summer and ski or ice skate in the winter, since it snows in Michigan.
My childhood was great and typical of many Americans.. In the summer we went outside in the mornings, and didn't come home until the night! We played in the woods, rode our bikes, played in the rain, had a great time!
As for food, people like bratwurst and sauerkraut there. There is a lot of german heritage here, so lots of german dishes. I am originally from the southern part of the US, so I like Fried Chicken, cornbread, mashed potatoes, etc.
Our most popular sports are Baseball, football, soccer, hockey, basketball. Everyone loves them!
I think a lot of people don't really like Americans. I'm not
really sure what people think. I would really like to know though!
What makes me so proud of the US is our freedom! And, if there's one thing I would like people to know about my culture it's that I think we're a really friendly people, and that we can come together to help each other out. |
